Counseling Services for Kids and Teens
Free Consultation
20 min/Free
During this brief 20-minute phone or video call with the adults, we’ll explore if I may be a good fit for your child/teen. We can discuss what’s causing you to reach out, go over any questions you have about me, my approach to therapy and how we will work together, as well as logistical details like payment, paperwork, insurance, scheduling, and accessibility needs.
If we decide to work together, you’ll complete a registration packet before our first session.
Sessions can be in English, Spanish or Spanglish—whatever feels best for you and your family
Intake Appointment
60 min/$220
The first session is called an intake session, where we’ll talk more in-depth about what is bringing the child/teen to therapy, relevant history and family dynamics. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other better, share some of the story, and set intentions/goals for our work.
Ongoing Therapy
55 min/$170
In therapy sessions with your child or teen, I create a safe and supportive space where they can express themselves in their own way—whether through talking, play, art, or other activities. We’ll work together to explore what’s going on for them now, as well as any past experiences that might be impacting their feelings and behaviors. My goal is to help your child build skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and feel more confident and connected.
I typically see children and teens weekly or bi-weekly, and I collaborate closely with you to support progress between sessions.
Children 5+
When I work with kids (ages 5+), I focus on creating a warm and engaging environment where your child can feel safe to express themselves through play, art, and conversation. I honor each child’s unique identities and experiences, and welcome families of all backgrounds. My approach is rooted in curiosity and connection—whether your child is navigating big emotions, a tough experience, or questions about who they are. See below for more information on play therapy!
For Teens:
I aim to create a space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported without pressure to be anyone but yourself. Whether you want to talk about identity, culture, family, gender, queerness, relationships, stress, or just figure things out at your own pace, I’m here to support you. I aim to make it as real and relaxed as possible (also, yes, I have a nose piercing and tattoos, which usually earns me at least one cool point.) We may do art together, talk, write, play games, or discuss tik toks that felt extra loud.
Due to the nature of the work, I prefer to work with clients under 15 in person and don’t offer ongoing virtual sessions for this age group

What is play therapy?
Play is the natural language of children and through it, they express feelings, process experiences, and make sense of their world, especially when talking about it feels hard. In therapy, I use play as a powerful tool to support emotional regulation, build insight, and strengthen relationships. I offer a variety of modalities including imaginative play, art, games, and sand tray therapy, which allows children to externalize and explore inner experiences in a safe, symbolic way. Sessions are guided by the child/teens needs and developmental level. I also work closely with families to support healing and connection outside of therapy, helping kids grow stronger and more confident in who they are.
